Why join?
Our Affiliate Program enables you to earn money from your website by setting
links to Egyptian Dreams and encouraging your visitors to buy from our store.
As an Egyptian Dreams affiliate you will earn a 10% commission on every
sale (excluding P&P) you generate through your referrals.
How does the Egyptian Dreams affiliate program work?
It's easy. We will provide a variety of adverts for you to cut & paste onto your
site. You choose which ones to use, and where on your site to put them. When visitors
come to your site and they click on one of the ads, they end up at Egyptian Dreams.
If they buy something from Egyptian Dreams, then you will get 10% of whatever
they have spent! (excluding P&P)
Cookie Length
If a visitor clicks to our site from yours, a cookie is set on their computer,
this remains on their computer for 14 days, if during this time they return
to Egyptian Dreams and make a purchase you will earn a commission even if they
don't come via your site. Please note that the visitor must have cookies enabled in order for the sale to register.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. It's free to join the Egyptian Dreams Affiliate Program, and you can
cancel at any time.
Is my site eligible to become an Egyptian Dreams affiliate?
With very few exceptions, yes. We reserve the right to refuse affiliate partnership
to any site containing objectionable material, including pornography, explicit
language or content, gambling or support for violent or discriminatory groups.
My website is based outside the UK. Can I be an Egyptian Dreams affiliate?
Yes, we ship goods worldwide.
Can I link my site to Egyptian Dreams and to other stores at the same time?
Yes, no problem - what you do with your site is your business and we won't
try to control any aspect of it.
Will you promote my site?
No. At this time we are unable to promote affiliate sites.
Do I have to build an online store?
No, the links on your site will link directly to Egyptian Dreams. Once a customer
clicks on the link, your job is done - we deal with everything after that (taking
payment, delivery etc).
Setting Up Links
How do I create links to Egyptian Dreams?
Log in to our Members Area and select the adverts that you would like to use.
You can add as many or as few as you like to your site. Adding the link is a
straightforward case of "copy & paste" but if you need any help, all you need
to do is ask.
Can I make my own Egyptian Dreams adverts?
Yes, but due to the way our stats calculate banner views, we must host the banner
on our server. Therefore any banner you make must be submitted to us before
it can be used.
What are my responsibilities as an Egyptian Dreams affiliate?
You are responsible for using the Members Area to choose links and place them
on your site. We don't expect anything else of you (ie: no sales "targets"
etc). We value you as an affiliate regardless of whether you are referring 1
customer a month or 1000 customers a month.
What are Egyptian Dreams responsibilities?
Egyptian Dreams will provide you with the tools and support you need to establish
yourself as an affiliate. We also handle orders, delivery, billing, customer
care, and sales reporting. We will also make sure you get your commission payments.
Can I take orders on my site and send the information to Egyptian Dreams?
No. Egyptian Dreams will process all orders directly.
Tracking and Payment
How are orders tracked and credited to my website?
All links from your website to Egyptian Dreams contain your unique source ID.
Every time a customer comes to Egyptian Dreams via your site and makes a purchase,
we will know to credit your site. The sales are tracked using well tested software
which is part of the osCommerce package that we use to run our entire store.
How much will I be paid?
You will receive a commission of 10% of final sales, excluding P&P and VAT - a "final"
sale is one where an order has been placed, payment received, the goods dispatched
and a 30 day period to allow for returns has elapsed. If someone comes to our
site via yours and doesn't purchase anything on that visit, you will still
get the commission if they come back and buy an item within 14 days.
When and how will I be paid?
We make our commission payments at the beginning of every month. If your earnings have reached £25.00 we will send you a cheque or make payment into a Paypal account if you prefer. If your earnings have not reached £25.00 we will carry them over to the next month. There is no time limit on reaching £25.00 earnings. Please note we are only able to write cheques for £UK Sterling but can pay through Paypal in Sterling, US Dollars or Euros.
How will I monitor my sales?
Reports are generated in real-time. You can access them anytime by logging in to your account. These reports give you a variety of information, including how many customers linked to Egyptian Dreams from your site, and how much your site has earned in commission.
I operate more than one website. Can you track them separately?
We would rather that you used the same user id for all your sites, but if you really would prefer to track them individually, then please let us know and we will set up a separate id for each site.
