Brass Zills (Finger Cymbals)
The top of each zill is etched with the Egyptian goddess Isis and the bottom of each zill is etched with the Egyptian god Horus.
These zills measure just over 5.5cm (2¼") in diameter and make a wonderful sound when used. A pouch for storing the zills is included in the price.
The price displayed is for two pairs of zills (as shown). (A Zill is defined in the dictionary as "One of a pair of round metal cymbals attached to the fingers and struck together for rhythm and percussion in belly dancing."). So you will get exactly the quantity shown on the picture.
Zills, finger zills or finger cymbals are called "zils" or "zills" in Turkey and "sagat" or "zagat" in Arabic. They are small metal disks which are worn on your hands and played while belly dancing. Most belly dancers wear four of them - one on each thumb, and one on the middle finger of each hand.
